Electric Corby invites local businesses to get switched on
In a bid to help businesses in Corby increase resource efficiency and adopt the use of clean technology, Electric Corby is hosting two free breakfast events as part of its Switched on Thinking programme on 19 and 26 November at the Corby Enterprise Centre.
The first event will explore the concept of the circular economy and resource efficiency featuring speakers from high-profile organisations including The Environmental Technology Centre, Ashbury Chocolates, South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership and Corby-based Recycle Force.
The circular economy is an alternative to the traditional waste model of make, use, dispose and aims to help businesses extract the maximum value from resources, improving efficiency.
The second event on 26 November aims to help businesses finance innovation and clean tech solutions and will feature presentations from Innovate UK, Growing Corby, and the Northants Enterprise Partnership.
Nick Bolton, co-founder of Electric Corby, said: “These free events are part of our ongoing commitment to communicate the benefits of clean technology and help businesses become more sustainable, with the objective of increased profitability. We’ve had a fantastic response since our first event in June and we hope to see lots more businesses at these two events in November.”
Spaces are limited so to secure your place email cleantech@electriccorby.co.uk or call 01536 560222.
