Electric Corby to host European Fireworks Assembly
Well not quite, but Electric Corby are hosting the European Project, District of (the) Future consortium’s General Assembly and will be taking our esteemed European guests to Corby’s famous fireworks display.
Electric Corby is one of eleven partners that make up the consortium who are working to improve energy efficiency by an ambitious 30-40%. Corby is one of three demonstration locations, the others being Orleans in France and Sabadell in Spain. The 3 year project, led by Telefonica of Spain (who own O2) is funded by the EU under the FP7 programme. It is great for Corby as the project will only hold 3 General Assemblies over the 3 years and with 10 other partners from Finland, France and Spain, Corby has beaten off big competition to host the event.
Electric Corby will show their partners some of the key Corby buildings in the project as well as show off some of the town’s assets from Rockingham Castle to the Corby Cube.
