The European Digital Services Hackathon
In partnership with the Barcelona City Council and Netport in Sweden, Electric Corby will be hosting a Hackathon to provide software developers in Northamptonshire the opportunity to freely export their digital services to a single European Marketplace.
The Hackathon will take place on November 9th in Corby and the attendees will have the opportunity to validate the CloudOpting model and integrate their applications into the platform.
The attendees will be invited back on December 1st where they will have the opportunity to meet with local authorities based in the UK, Spain, and Sweden to receive feedback on their applications, and will have the opportunity to network with developers and public sector representatives from across Europe.

CloudOpting is a three-year project undertaken by a pan-European consortium of 10 partners and is co-funded by the EU ICT Policy Support Programme (ICT PSP) under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). Three European cities and one region will pilot the experiments developed under the CloudOpting project: Barcelona, Karlshamm, Corby and Piedmont. The project partners are: Barcelona City Council, Teamnet, Wellness Telecom, ATOS Worldline, SDG Group, Smart Partners, CSI-Piemonte, Profesia, Electric Corby and NetPort.
